We would like to welcome you to Iris Creek Flower Farm. My name is Ashley Kreutzer, and I am the proud owner of this flower farm.
We moved to an acreage north of Orleans, Nebraska in 2017. We knew it would take time to make this our home, but I was up for the challenge! We have been updating the farmhouse since day one, and we have put a lot of thought into what we want to accomplish on our little piece of heaven. Jonathan (my husband) would have loved cattle, but I obviously was thinking flowers, chickens, dogs, and cats. So, with lots of praying and researching we finally decided to make the flower farm dream come true!
Jonathan and I, along with our four children, decided to officially start this flower farm in February of 2020. Jonathan and I have always enjoyed being outdoors as well as getting our hands dirty. We enjoy a challenge, and we love working towards our dreams together. Though flowers have always been a part of our love story, I will be the first to admit that my idea for a flower farm was kind of far fetched (or so I thought).
The flower farm idea came to us after Ashley became obsessed with the Floret Flower Farm. Once we bought Erin's book, we decided that we wanted to pursue the possibility of opening our own flower field. We did a lot of planning, researching, and talking before we finally decided to jump all in. Though we are by no means professionals in the flower field, we hope that our love for flowers, nature, and outdoors will help us accomplish many things at our flower farm.
We had a lot of doubts and fears, but we knew that we couldn't learn until we put the effort in and tried to chase our dream! We are now going into our second season of flower farming, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. There are few things that come to mind that can beat the look on someone's face when they see fresh flowers. We have enjoyed growing local, fresh cut flowers and we look forward to new adventures in the coming years!
We have enjoyed sharing our farm with our community, and it has been been an amazing adventure for our clan. It has also been a great opportunity to connect with many in our area, and we look forward to bringing everyone fresh, local, homegrown goodness.
We hope to continue to bring people near and far to enjoy flowers, crafts, u-picks, DIY bouquets, fresh vegetables, garden parties, and much more throughout our 2021 growing season!
Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.
